Mid Autumn Season is Respecting Transformation

Image
Again I've waited about a year to get back onto this post. And, .. again it is the autumnal season when I do.  Interestingly, fall is my favorite time of year. Even though I'm a late cancer and born during the height of summer, the fall is when I seem to gain the best conscious awareness during my annual earth walk journey.  I have strong Scorpionic positioning in my astrological chart, with a Scorpio rising, Pluto and Mars on MC and 2 personal planets in the 8th house.  In my Asian astrological chart, metal is my "lucky" element and therefore anything pertaining to the western directionals is most suitable for me.  The west according to Earth traditions resonates with fall and its transitional journey between the bright world of youth and summer to the dark, somber mature experience of winter.   It's mid fall season 2023. We've had our chance/dance with Libra (hopefully we've regained some awareness of who and what relationships are important and have s

2022 Autumnal Equinox Balance , Justice and Harmony

Egyptian Goddess Maat by Diveena Marcus Blessed Autumnal Season onto you! As I write this, it is just hours before 2022 Autumnal Equinox.  The phenomena when the daylight and the night on planet earth are equally balanced when the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.  Well, if you get real technical, it really isn't exactly equal.  Those of us that live closer to the equator it will be more true to the account.  The farther away, the more unequal.  However, the most important aspect of the fall equinox is that it is the official commencement of the Autumnal season.  The moment the earth experiences the shift to the Autumnal season, she also travels through the backdrop of the Libra constellation and we experience the zodiacal sign of Libra. Libra represents the polarities of our lives.  The opposite of Libra is Aries.  Hence, the awareness of what is important to us personally (Aries) is being reflected upon by the associations (Libra) that we hold in our lives.  These ass

The Essence of Essential Oil

I write this blog in honor of Beltane and the blessings we have on our planet, especially for those within our environment that bring the beauty, spirit and life force at its paramount into our lives.  Most noticeably are our plant relatives and their beauty and the power of their essential life force that they naturally and freely offer to us just by being themselves here and now.   My love affair for scents came long ago, when I was a teenager.  Initially, I had an aversion to plants, but I had to deal with them for some time, as my mother was an avid gardener.  Wherever we lived, she had a garden.  My father was in the U.S. Airforce and we lived in various states in the United States, in the South Pacific and in Europe, and there was always a spot in the yard where my mother would garden.  By the time my father retired from the AirForce, I was in High School.  My parents purchased some land in Sonoma County in Northern California where my mother and our indigenous relatives origin

Sustaining the Essence of Our World

Greetings and best wishes and blessings during this 2022 Winter time. The image that holds the energy of this blog space is of the Egyptian Goddess Bast that I envisioned back in 2003 after I had returned from Egypt.  She was the last of the 13 images of the particular Egyptian pantheon group I produced and presented in my exhibition at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose California, 2004.   Many folks had suggested I do a collection of 22 paintings for a tarot deck.  And that would have been grand on one level if I was guided to do so.   At the time in my life I was on a journey of personal discovery and I entrusted my travel to the guidance of the universe and to the tutelage of the particular archetype that wanted to be embodied in my life at the time. Each god/goddess that I produced beckoned to me to their particular initiatory experience.  It was only after I experienced their story in my own life was I able to bring them forth into the world.  And when their story was to

Summer Sensitivities

Smith River, CA -Wild River Del Norte County (Del Norte County has the most wild rivers in all of CA) I think back to the summer of 2019 when Marcus and I took a kayak trip down the Smith River in Smith River CA.  We live minutes to Jedediah Smith National Forest and we could not pass up a July trip right in our backyard.  So we joined a group of visitors and foresters and kayaked down the Smith River.  All I can say is it was outstanding.  Crystal Clear waters, quiet, and the smell of pine with real live visions of eagles and bears.  The genuine stuff that a veritable river (one that has never been dammed) offers to our planet; to all peoples, mineral, plant, animal and humans.  What a gift.  As I reflect on that trip and sit in my literal backyard with my residential racoon, squirrels, slugs, a myriad of birds, occasional bear, cougar and ancient trees;  I am so honored and filled with gratitude that I am in presence with the aliveness of place.  I am so grateful to be here.   When I

Adjusting to a Renewed Focus Jedediah Smith Redwood Forest  When I started this blog back in 2019 I was so inspired by so many folks online sharing their ideas and wisdom that I felt compelled to feature gifted folk that I knew and I felt through this blog as well as on my Divine Inspirations Podcast that were awesome as well.  I am so grateful I did because it has been such a joy to connect and to reconnect to amazing creative and beautiful people.  However, during the covid19 experience I had a lot of time to reflect. In fact I was already in a reflection mode during the crest of covid mandated restrictions.  I had over extended myself during the year and was beginning to feel its toll.  Now that I have had approximately a year and a half to myself along with the privilege to have the love of my baby boy Doxie Auggie at my side as well as the quiet moments with my best friend and husband Marcus, I've become much more private.  Perhaps thats the rebel in me.  When it is the norm

Winter's Coastal and Personal reflections

Bandon Crab Encounter Winter Blessings are upon us. Ironically, I find winter as special as all the other seasons.  I enjoy seasonal change as it keeps me out of complacency. I find myself presently in the midst of wintertime in the reflection of my personal astrology.  As soon as winter sets in (winter Solstice) I come face to face with the opposite of my sun sign Cancer.  So for most of us that follow the western zodiac, Cancer is the cardinal zodiac sign that heralds in the Summer season and is determined by the day you were born (from June 21 through July 22).  However, we look at ourselves most deeply when we are facing our counter personality (our hidden teacher) and the opposite sign of our sun sign (soul astrological signature).  For me, it is the zodiac sign of Capricorn (December 22, to January 19) that has brought us into the present winter experience. I used to dread the winter experience because things were too much in my face.  I had to confront the concerns and iss
